Single table bridge to recommence on 11 January (subject to conditions)

Friday, 04 December 2020 by Julie Wicks

Like most players, the members of the board have been keen to return to single table play when appropriate and consistent with protecting the health of our members.

This month’s board meeting was re-scheduled to yesterday primarily to address this issue and, after much discussion, it was unanimously agreed that we will revert to using single card tables from 11thJanuary 2021 PROVIDED there have been no cases of Covid-19 in the region before that time.

In the meantime, our current Covid safe plan is still in force and members must sanitise their hands as they enter the premises. This is especially important now that the borders have opened up and we are no longer protected by our “bubble”.

Once we make the change back to single tables our Covid safe plan will be revised accordingly. This change will mean that players are inevitably in closer contact than now and we will expect close adherence to the requirements of the revised plan.

Until further notice there will be no change to our current policy of not allowing non-members or visitors to play at our club.

Thank you for your continued cooperation.

Julie
