General Update

Thursday, 15 October 2020 by Julie Wicks

There have been a few changes at the club recently that we would like to share.

  • Linda invited St John Ambulance to the club to advise on our very outdated First Aid Kit. A new kit has been purchased and is situated in the office. Some new signage will appear soon.
  • Greg Tosh has very kindly offered to oversee Maintenance issues now that Tony Berger has stepped off the Board. However, Tony will assist as and when required.
  • Lesley Sutherland is still our Librarian but for the time being Lesley is not attending the club. Lisa Basile has offered to act as Librarian with assistance from Lindell Day and Margaret Bills.
  • Jim Moodie has looked after the Key Register for many years but has now handed the reins to Liz Downer. Thank you Jim for your conscientious record keeping of the keys.
  • You should all be aware that bookings for the Christmas lunch are open. Please see Marlene at the club to secure your ticket.
  • The club will soon be placing an order for some new bidding boxes.  If you would like to purchase your own box please put your name on the list displayed on the noticeboard. The cost is $10 per box, including the inserts.
  • Liz Downer has done a superb job with registering everyone for sessions. She will soon be able to switch the registration to online so watch this space.
  • Friday and Saturday drinks after bridge have recommenced.  Please enter your name on the form at the beginning of the session if you intend to stay for a drink. The number of attendees is strictly limited to 30. Sharing of food is not permitted and please bring your own glass. Physical distancing and hand hygiene must be observed.
