YOUR PRIVACY The Gold Coast Bridge Club is committed to protecting your privacy. Personal information held by the Gold Coast Bridge Club may include your name, current address, telephone numbers and membership details. The club also has access to your masterpoint information through its affiliation with the Australian Bridge Federation. If you choose not to provide personal information, we may not be able to provide you with the services you require, or the level of service on which we pride ourselves. We collect personal information directly from you (when you provide information by playing at the club); from your membership application or renewal form; from publicly available sources of information and from the Australian Bridge Federation. Your information is stored in electronic form on the club’s computer and access is restricted. Information contained in the club’s computer may be printed from time to time for purposes such as membership renewal. Your personal information is used by the club in order to provide services; administer and manage the services which we provide; and to contact you by telephone or mail. The club will not provide any information to third parties except to the Australian Bridge Federation (in regard to masterpoints); your representatives (e.g. your authorised representatives or legal advisers); and government and regulatory authorities (and other organisations) as required or authorised by law. Members are asked not to contact the club asking for personal details from the database as we have a strict policy of not providing such information. We take all reasonable precautions to ensure that the personal information we collect and use is accurate, complete and up to date. However, the accuracy of the information we hold depends to a large extent on the information you provide. We recommend that you check for any inaccuracies on your membership renewal and keep us up to date with changes to personal information.
